Everywhere you drive on Vieques you see litter beside the road obviously thrown out of passing cars without a second thought or hesitation. And we know the tourists visiting the island aren't the ones causing this problem (if only the locals could see this as a problem!). BTW, Playa Grande is one of my favorite beaches too and I always bring a large trash bag with me whenever I go there and pick up some of the litter. I drag it back to the parking area and leave it by the trash barrel.
